Adam has over 20 years of oil and gas experience with large independents, private operators, and his own companies — building a track record of exploration, development, and successful exits across the Permian Basin and beyond.
As founder and VP Geology of FireBird Energy (Ft. Worth, TX), Adam led horizontal drilling that extended the productive window on the western side of the Midland Basin. FireBird divested to Diamondback Energy in 2022 for $1.6 billion.
As co-founder and geologic advisor of Rising Star Energy Partners (RSEP), Adam pioneered commercially economic stacked horizontal production in Pennsylvanian sandstones on the eastern edge of the Midland Basin — the first company to achieve this. RSEP divested to Hibernia Resources in 2025.
Prior to FireBird and RSEP, Adam served as Geology Manager at RSP Permian (2014–2018) through its merger with Concho Resources, and at Apache (2011–2018). He has been developing prospects across the Permian Basin since 2005, selling more than $100MM of properties to Oxy, Pioneer, Endeavor, and Ovintiv.
Adam currently develops, drills, and operates projects in the East Texas Basin and the Eastern Shelf of Texas through Tischer Energy.
Tischer Energy develops projects in underdeveloped areas with statistically viable returns, currently focused on the Eastern Shelf and East Texas Basin.
The Eastern Shelf of the Permian Basin encompasses Tischer Energy's core West and Central Texas positions. Acreage spans Irion, Tom Green, and adjacent counties — targeting proven conventional and unconventional formations with existing infrastructure and active development potential. Tom Green County is a current operations hub.
The East Texas Basin is Tischer Energy's active eastern operating region. Current operations are centered in Upshur County, with additional interest in Rusk and Wood counties. The basin encompasses prolific oil and gas formations, and Tischer Energy focuses on underdeveloped areas with compelling economics across multiple productive horizons.
Tischer Energy holds oil and gas interests across 10 counties in Texas, with additional interests in Louisiana and New Mexico. Active operations in Upshur (East Texas) and Tom Green (Eastern Shelf).
Active operations on the Eastern Shelf. Primary operating county for Tischer Energy's West Texas position, targeting conventional and unconventional reservoir targets.
Acreage targeting proven formations on the Eastern Shelf, adjacent to Tom Green operations. Established production history with active development potential.
Interest across Midland, Martin, Howard, and Glasscock counties — legacy positions in the heart of the Permian Basin from prior development activity.
Acreage interest spanning the Texas–New Mexico border region including Loving, Ward, Winkler, and Lea counties.
Primary East Texas operating county. Active drilling and production in the East Texas Basin, targeting underdeveloped oil and gas formations with proven upside.
Additional East Texas Basin interest in Rusk and Wood counties, expanding Tischer Energy's footprint across multiple productive trends in the basin.
